Editorial policy
Southern Stage Stories aims to describe theatre accurately and fairly. We separate observation from interpretation, make claims carefully and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and corrections
We check names, titles and other factual details against suitable material available to us, and distinguish documented information from opinion. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error, with the relevant story and detail. We review correction requests and, when a material error is confirmed, amend the text and make the correction clear.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made for the publication's readers, not in exchange for access, payment or favourable treatment. A review or feature does not promise praise, and a collaboration does not decide what an editorial piece says.
Paid and partner material
Any paid placement, sponsored contribution or partner material is labelled clearly where it appears. Partner links may be included when relevant, but they do not determine our editorial conclusions. We do not present commercial material as independent reporting.
Images and illustrations
Images are selected to support the subject and are not presented as documentary evidence unless that is clear from their context. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they are identified as illustrations rather than photographs of a real production or event.
