Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches about theatre across the South: its scripts, performance, stagecraft, places and traditions. Send proposals through the Contact page rather than submitting a finished article without agreement.
What suits the publication
Strong proposals have a defined subject, a reason it will interest a general reader and a workable angle. We are interested in explainers, comparisons, histories and close looks at theatrical choices. Keep the idea specific enough to explore without leaning on vague claims about an entire region or community.
What to include
Use the Contact page to describe the proposed piece in a short paragraph, explain what the reader will understand by the end and note any relevant experience or access to material. Include a few examples of related work if available. Do not send confidential material or assume that a pitch has been accepted until we reply.
Working together
We agree the scope and terms of any commissioned work before drafting begins. Contributors should disclose relevant interests and distinguish firsthand observation from information supplied by others. We edit for clarity, accuracy and fit, and discuss substantive changes with the writer.
